Our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) model connects consumers directly with Marshview Farm, allowing individuals or families to buy a share of the farm’s harvest.
How Our CSA Works
Starting early June • Pickups are subject to change based on weather
Summer Share
Early June – mid-October
Our share is a "mix and match" share; besides one or two limited items, our members will decide how to fill their bags from the 8–12 different crops we’ve harvested each week. In addition to our vegetables such as lettuces and greens, radishes, swiss chard, and fennel, our members will also receive our farm fresh eggs from our Marshview Farm chickens.
Fall Share
End of October – Early November
Our bounteous Fall Shares add another 4 weeks to your CSA season, and includes winter squash, fall greens, carrots, garlic, beets, daikon, turnips, lettuce, onions, scallions, leeks, celeriac, eggs and more.
Fall shares are also a great way to check out what our CSA is all about for folks who haven't been involved yet. Returning and new members are welcome to jump in! We'll have pick-ups in Rockport, Essex, and Ipswich.
Winter Meat Share
December – May
We’re also excited to offer our Marshview Meats Share, ready for you to pick up once a month. Each month, you can pick out protein from our eggs, whole chickens, pork (sausages, bacon, pork chops, roasts, spare ribs), and beef (hamburger, steaks, roasts) all raised humanely on Marshview Farm. We have limited slots for this six month session, so grab yours while they last!
WHERE TO GET IT
We strive to provide flexibility in Marshview Farm’s CSA model. Pickups take place at local farmer’s markets around the Cape Ann region, such as Ipswich, Rockport, and Gloucester. We endeavor to work with you to ensure we get you your share. Choose from multiple locations and times to pick up your produce—just show up to whichever pick-up location (below) works best for you any given week. Up to three weeks can be skipped during the season, allowing you to double your share another week. You’re always welcome to send a friend or family member to pick up your share. All fresh, unused produce will be donated to local food pantries.
HOW WE GROW IT
Our produce is grown with adherence to organic standards. All of us at Marshview Farm believe strongly that vegetables harvested from a living soil that is chemical-free is what's best for our tables, our land, and our customers. We encourage you to ask questions about our growing practices anytime and be informed about the food you eat!

What’s in your CSA?
Spring
June and early July are truly the ‘salad days.’ Throw out the wilty grocery store greens and munch on the good stuff. You’ll find: arugula, tat soi, mustard, red russian kale, green kale, collards, lettuce heads of many varieties and colors, hon tsai tai, spring raab, swiss chard, bok choy, napa cabbage, salad turnips, radishes, scallions, kohlrabi, carrots, beets, fennel, and more.
Summer
Later July and August will bring the heat and the summer crops. Dig into summer squashes, zucchini, cucumbers, potatoes, summer lettuces, onions, tomatoes, peppers, and eggplant—all of which come in many colors, shapes, and varieties. We’ll continue harvesting scallions, fennel, and some greens as well.
Fall
Autumn is sublime, and so are the tastes of the fall crops. By mid-September we’ll be back in the greens, as well as fall roots. You can expect: turnips, celeriac, carrots, beets, winter squashes (butternuts, acorns, delicata, pie pumpkins, and more), leeks, and parsnips.
